Welcome to the home page of Just 4 Funk Productions, the only company in Devon dedicated to Breaking and original street dance styles. Working in Exeter, Plymouth, Bristol, Bath, all over Devon and beyond.
We run dance activities and workshops in schools, as well as running classes for the general public at the Exeter Phoenix and other venues in Exeter. You may have also seen Just 4 Funk crew performing one of our shows at local events such as Exeter Christmas Lights, or further afield at things like Breakin' Convention in Sadlers Wells, London.

South Dartmoor Academy has been working closely with Matt and J4F for a few years now and we cannot recommend them enough. Their classes are thoroughly enjoyed by our primary and secondary students who attend them and they really have developed as young dancers. It’s great to see the engaging and encouraging working relationships between Matt and our students and we strongly believe that it is Matt’s commitment and passion that has provided our students with the Dance bug!
-Abi Cowell, South Dartmoor Academy
“It’s great to see the students’ self-esteem and confidence grow with each session. Their pleasure and sense of achievement obtained with each new move they learn is clear to see and wonderful to experience. It’s also lovely to see the social bonds formed between the primary and secondary students.”
-Anna White, South Dartmoor Academy
“Matt has worked in our school over the past year running an after school
Street Dance Club. The children absolutely love it and not only get fit but are
learning great routines which they have enjoyed performing for the rest of the
school and parents.”
“Matt’s Street Dance after school club has made dancing at Cockwood School
” Children of all ages have really engaged with Street Dance club. For many of
the children it has been the first time they have been involved in any form of
dance. Boys in particular have found it’s cool to dance!”
– Alison Murtha, Cockwood Primary School
“Our two boys aged 6 and 9 started learning to break dance with Just4funk last year and were hooked from the first lesson. Matt and Steve, their two teachers, provided inspiration in a safe, fun and respectful environment. They have instilled a life long love of dance and music.” Sue Philpot
Well done to Ricoshea for winning Street Jam 9 in Bournemouth!
The elusive BBoy Bounce stopped by in Exeter on his tour of Europe – all the way from Japan! Bounce teaches an approach to breaking that expands on the basic foundations and encourages students to question “the basics”. Thanks to Bounce and Mouse for coming all the way down to the South West to share […]
